Cuse will test to see if our DBs have made progress from A&M

Sep 23, 2018, 8:19 PM

Simmons and the Safeties busted a lot during the TAMU game. Because Dungy hurt us badly with his legs last year, I expect BV to play a lot of zone. So, the Safeties and SAM must really be on point with knowing there responsibilities. If they don't, I think we'll have to beat them in a shootout. With KB2 @ QB I question our ability to do that. However, with Trevor getting the majority of the snaps, I think we'll be able to run and pass the ball whenever we want. I look for Dabo to make TL the guy this week and we put a 50 piece on the Orange.

Yes CU D at A&M had Secondary Issues But Mond Got Really

Lucky on 4-5 throws that 1-2 should have been picked. I think Cooze will get some points via the air, but their QB is not better than Mond and this is a revenge game at home for the Tigers. I see Dabo pouring it on in this game.

Tigers will be very motivated and very focused. There will be no “calling off the dogs”. It’s gonna be fun.

Mond got lucky on several but we also had way too many busted coverages. All of that was compounded by all the offensive holding that went ignored by the refs. Those were ACC refs so that could also be the case on Saturday.

I totally agree with that assessment. Syracuse is a really good fundamentally sound football team that should be ranked. They’re right up there on point with UCF. Dungey didn’t play the majority of the game against FSU. And fsu still has a defense and on par with us as far as athletes. Cuse will win a lot of games this year. Tigers got their work cut out this week.

Lots of factors to consider for this game, and my memory might not be all that great, but here goes:

1. KB2 was playing hurt in that game, and we inserted Cooper to save us. Bad choice IMO
2. I think Huegel had an injury, so we missed 2 easy FG's that would have saved the "W".
3. Our DLine is even better this year, as we have 3-4 first round draft picks playing for us
4. We have a QB in TL16 that can surgically carve the SU secondary, and probably score at will.
5. We are playing in DV, and that spells doom for the Cuse.

Other factors like TAMU holding all night long might not happen again. Let's hope.

I expect CLEMSON to score often, and Dungy and all his king's men won't be able to put the Cuse back together again.
