Since Pete's on Poinsette has a drive through, they win with the chili cheese burger.
I'll then go with:
Cook-Out, the big double. Taste is good, value is great.
Wendy's
Hardee's regular
McDonald's quarter pounder
Burger King.
Sonic isn't really on my burger Radar because if I do go there I'm getting the chili cheese coney or popcorn chicken.

a co-worker wanted to go there for lunch on his last day, before moving to TN (hmmm....wait a minute), and it was a large group of us, but I think it was pretty empty otherwise
soooo underwhelmed....not enough to NOT give it another try one day, though.
oddly enough, since TickleIt mentioned Oreo somethingerothers to me in this thread:
our side of the table was having our own convo...one of the higher-up architects, another guy, and me...the other guy is telling a random, and completely innocent innocuous story that involved an Oreo (to some extent, don't remember if it was the actual cookie, some other treat, or just something (non seggsual) that was black-white-black in color...not important)...but as soon as he said it, he started awkwardly apologizing / explaining to the 'higher-up' (who was black - still is, i presume) that that wasn't a racial reference in any way.
The blarchitect (just made that up) was like "uh...yeah, i didn't think it was"
but he just kept going on about apologizing...and guy was like "yep, I understood what you were saying in the first place...describing colors is totally fine. Just continue your story."
but nope. kept at it. Made a completely mundane story into a pretty awkward situation.
Maybe that's why I don't have a fond mammary of the place

in Georgia in 2017 on the way back from a work trip.
The fries were amazing, the milkshake was amazing, but the fake taste of the bacon ruined the burger for me.
It was not even the good fake bacon. It tasted like soy and artificial smoke flavor.

They have ranch packets instead of homemade, which to me is unforgiveable for a place that also serves chicken wings and various other fried appetizer items such as onion rings and cheese balls.
But the burger was on point. Very simple. Tastes just like you would make it at home, which I think is the appeal.

I’ve been going to Sonic the last few weeks since it’s the only place open late where I’ve been working recently.
The burgers aren’t amazing but not bad for fast food. Worth a try if you enjoy milkshakes or slushees.

Anywho, I haven’t smoked pot since college, but Whataburger is 1. Still gotta have In-n-Out, but my wife says not as good. There is one not too far down the road. Tried once, and it was packed. So, I got Raising Canes instead. That area is crowded AF around lunchtime.
I still need to try Burger Boy, as well, but I think it’s just a San Antonio thing maybe. They do great business.
