I was reading an article where Oklahoma media and fans were concerned about the loss of the Bedlam game with Oklahoma State with the move to the SEC. The concern was being able to schedule it with the conference going to 16 teams and uncertainty about OSU schedule. Yet, the article mentioned the success of the other cross conference rival games, Clemson-South Carolina, Georgia Tech-Georgia, Florida State-Florida, Louisville-Kentucky and others.
If they keep their conference schedule to eight games, it shouldn't be a problem with the rivalry games. Even nine conference games doesn't cause a problem. Just hope that SEC doesn't pull what they did last year and decide to play only SEC teams. ACC gave them every opportunity to keep the ACC-SEC rivalry games.
I wish the ACC would do away with these divisions. Keep three or four teams in a POD with traditional rivals and then let everyone else rotate. Would be nice to play other ACC teams more than once every six years. Two best teams make the ACC championship.
IMO, with all the SEC-ACC conference rivals, it seems that it would make good sense if the SEC and the ACC would just merge. With all the rival games, the TV money would be awesome if there was a merger with our two conferences!!!!!!!
