Crazy weather here.

Dec 9, 2022, 10:07 AM

I can’t get out and shovel snow but my wife went out and here come the neighbors. Anyways my son lives about 10 miles south of me and only rain. Just enough to be annoying this morning. You would know as soon as the end of the driveway is cleared here comes the snow plow and covers it up. Be glad to send it to you guys!!!!❄️❄️❄️❄️

Chesterfield, SC. My house had no snow at all. The line was up the road about 100 yards.

Here's a better idea...I'll send some of MY snow to you! I'm at a 7,300' elevation and average about 108" (9') of snow a year. Most snow experienced in one storm in my 32 years here was 43"in 1997, and coldest day dropped to -29. Heaviest snow months are March and April. So, count your blessings!

We lived in Erie, PA for about 11 years and the snowfall numbers were pretty similar to yours. Elevation and temperature were not. Ours was lake effect snow but it could dump several feet in a 24 hour period. And the lake effect was worse early and late in the season when the lake wasn’t frozen so before Christmas and March was when we would see some of the biggest totals.

Clemson is not the only reason so many of us chose to live in upstate SC. :)

Glad you have some help and hope you are recovering well. Good neighbors are a big plus. That’s why I always tried to be one as well. Never knew when you might be the one needing help.
