does 'Want it' actuallymean?", I posted that I was going to go fishing yesterday....Well...I did. But, after checking the weather forecast one more time before leaving, and seeing Tstorms forecasted until 1 pm...I waited until 11 to leave. I got there at 12:30 and was on my first spot at 12:45. At 1:30 I saw my first bolt of lightning....At 1:31 I saw the second one and cranked up and ran back to the landing at ALLen Creek. I put the boat back on the trailer...Not being able to pull up weather.com I called a friend. Well sir..he sent me a couple of screen shots showing severe weather headed my way until 4:30. Not one to easily give up, I grabbed a sandwich and a pepsi, ate lunch, and took a nap until 3:30. I then called another friend to get a second update which showed the storm pretty much being gone by 4 so Put back in. At 4pm it was 73 degrees......As soon as I got to my first spot...the wind started blowing like you would not believe. So much, that I decided to get out of the pockets, less a tree might drop on my boat, and get on the main lake.....At 5 pm,now pouring rain,I dried my hands with a towel and put on my neoprene fishing gloves....At 6:30 I motored up to the only other boat I saw on the lake, cut my motor, and said,"Fellas, I thought I was the only idiot left on the water, but I STAND CORRECTED!!!", to which, one of the three yelled back,"That's what we just said"....I ran back to the ramp and loaded up. At 7:30 I got back in the truck and it was now FORTY EIGHT DEGREES!!!

I guess you gotta love it....

Crazy weather.

We turned the fireplace back on this morning to knock the chill off.

I once loved golf that much. Me and my normal group went

to our home course to play on Christmas day one year. It was 25 degrees, and the greens were frozen, AND there was a slight breeze. On the first three holes, the ball hit the green, bounced ten yards high, and went over the back into the woods.

We finally decided, for the one and only time I could recall back then, that discretion was the better part of valor, and went home.

I recall another time, back when I was living in the Charleston area, left Charleston it was 60 degrees, going to Edisto to play Fairfield Ocean Ridge. When we got there, it was 45 degrees, and the wind was HOWLING. We played 36 holes in that, and for more than the whole second 18, I literally couldn't feel my hands on the club.

Oh, did I mention, I had to go to work on midnight shift that night? On of two times in my life (the last!) that I essentially worked a night shift on zero sleep. After that one, I vowed never again to be that stupid. (About the work, not the golf!)

Like you said, Spud, you gotta love it to do that sort of stuff.

Loading trucks. You had to load 100 bills and 40,000 lbs of freight in an 8 hour shift.(That is a full tractor trailer)....so, you went in on Friday nightv tv11:30 and worked until 8 am Sat morning. Went home and slept until 3 or so...and went in on Sat evening at 7 pm and worked until 3:30 am Sun morning...went home and slept until 12 and then went in on Sun afternoon atv1pm and worked until 9:30 pm Sun night.....

Have I ever told you how much I have loved selling real estate?

Bad days make the good days soooo much better.
