coaches that were “HC’s” and in the meantime he went out recruiting for Clemson even knowing he had about a possible 33% chance.

Also, BV had 10-13 yrs service at OK so they knew & loved him well..yet committee still bypassed that tight history of success he’d had with them so to look at 2 others that were “Head Coaches” and both had a game left.

Crazy!

I think they would have taken Fickell, Rhule, or Miranda. This was Brent's best chance at a big job anytime in the near future.

He was not their first choice, but good for him on getting the job.

When you have the University Prez and AD yelling that they got “their man,” it reminds me of the coots saying the very same claim when they settled for Mushcramp.

They wanted a HC with HC credentials but were turned down..so BV knows he was 3rd choice but hey, he’s making big loads of Hay at school he loves.
