The "guns" used in the robbery were later recovered and were determined to be BB guns. At sentencing, All three victims faced a maximum of 35 years in prison.

How are libbies winning based on that last sentence? Why would it matter if it was a real gun or a bb gun?

Their intent was to have folks think it was real. Looks like they were successful.
