From what I can tell, he hasn't really caused much drama yet, all he's done is visit some other schools and keep his options open.
At least his mom likes us a lot better than Mama Nkemdiche did.
That said, I think you're right about Kelly winning the starting job. We'd try to redshirt Watson, giving us 2-3 years of Kelly starting followed by 2-4 years of Watson if he stays committed.

If Watson comes, we will be set at the QB position for 4 years at least.
That would be an extremely nice situation to be in.

Just a reminder- Watson is currently the 11th ranked player in the country. Yeah, Simmons was supposed to be good, but was never ranked that highly.

Michael Carr was supposed to waltz in here and be a four year starter. He couldn't beat out lightly regarded former backup Chris Morocco and became a footnote in Clemson history.

For a minute there....you had me going. Thought you were suggest him as a starter over Boyd!! Lol
However, "Swag" had better get his A game ready for 2014. I believe Watson just may very well be in Orange, so IF he has leadership traits (right now he just runs his mouth), they need to come out quickly.
Tajh Boyd is a leader FIRST, a quarterback second. The entire TEAM respects Boyd as such. Kelly needs to stop that swag nonsense and become a LEADER from day one.
He may have the pedigree, but I want him to ultimately be able to LEAD the team, with team goals in mind.

I believe that whatever drama Watson showed ended after the 2-hour meeting with Dabo at the 2/2 Junior Day. I really think he is not only "all in" himself, but will be a major factor in our landing Kitt, McMillan et al. The rotattion should go sometning like this:
2013: Tajh starts, Kelly gets significant quality PT as #2.
2014: Kelly starts,Stoudt and/or Schuessler back up, Watson redshirts.
2015: Kelly starts, Watson gets significant quality PT as #2
2016: Kelly goes to NFL, Watson Starts
2017: Watson starts
2018: Watson goes to NFL .. someone as yet unknown starts.
That's 5 years of top quality QB play, with no reason to believe the next top recruit in line will be any less talented.

I believe he does come .. and in my scenerio I had both Kelly & Watson going out after their Junior years.
