Coots seem to have no confidence they win their bowl.

Dec 26, 2016, 9:18 AM

A few people are hoping they can keep it close. Is this more about South Florida or more about their crushed confidence in their own team?

Best Is The Standard

I see a 56 to 7- type beat down myself, I don't blame them

They've turned the page already

In full "wait 'til next year" mode

The definition of awesome!

Should they luckily win, the chant will be "This is the first game of next year".

The funny thing is...

Dec 26, 2016, 9:31 AM [ in reply to They've turned the page already ]

they're not going to be any better next year and will struggle again to win six games.

you are correct. Should show some improvement. Offensively can't get much worse.

The schedule gets a little tougher...

Dec 26, 2016, 9:35 AM

and if they lose the season opener to NC State, which is entirely possible, they'll struggle to win five games in 2017. Unless, of course, the $EC Least is a total train wreck again in 2017.

South Carolina wins a bowl game?

The USF QB may have a career day v. that pitiful $CU defense***

Muschamp has already prepped them for a loss.

Dec 26, 2016, 10:47 AM

A coach saying "We're not going to prepare for this opponent; we're going to work on football basics with t he extra practices" (paraphrased) tells me a couple of things. Firstly, it takes him and the team off the hook for a probable loss in their bowl and, secondly, it says that they're not very fundamentally sound. I don't know how I'd feel about our coach saying that - he did the opposite when they had absolutely no chance to beat Clemson (talked some smack) but seems to be laying down for a much more beatable opponent. I suppose there's a point where you're better off just accepting reality and understanding that your personnel are simply not capable. At any rate, until they do some MAJOR (and I mean MAJOR) recruiting for several years in a row, they're not going to be anything but less than average. They're in the kind of shape we were in when Tommy West stepped into the picture. It must really suck to be a fan of that program. I almost feel a little sorry for them.

but, but, but...according to Clueless09....

Dec 26, 2016, 12:16 PM

the talent gap between Clemson and $CU will be significantly reduced starting in 2017.

Maybe, just maybe, Clueless really is just as delusional, ignorant, and completely full of **** as he seems, and doesn't have a ******* clue what he's talking about. In other words, he's a typical Jock Strap.

There's more pure talent in the Clemson program now

Dec 27, 2016, 8:51 PM [ in reply to Muschamp has already prepped them for a loss. ]

than at any time in the program's history. The talent gap between Clemson and a good USC team is huge. USC is going to be in no position to call themselves even average next year. Those sucky players aren't going to suck any less next year. Clemson, on the other hand, is going stratosphere with the stockpile of depth and talent.

Huh? Coots I hear on the radio are optimistic.***
