To the idiots claiming water bottles can't hurt,

Nov 26, 2017, 5:33 PM

They can kill you if you're hit in the right spot. Morons.

That’s actually fake news. The kid was punched by an older student.

Let's just say it is fake. You saying a fist can kill but a full water bottle thrown at full speed can't?

You need to take some basic college courses.

But, good news. Google will show other cases where people was hurt or killed by a thrown bottle. Take your pick.

Re: To the idiots claiming water bottles can't hurt,

So now you're trying to defend assault? Especially an assault that is more likely to kill someone than throwing a water bottle?

That's the problem with your argument. You guys aren't really interested in what is right and wrong. It's just a "clemson right carolina wrong" caveman argument.

Hey, you claimed uncle assaulted someone but conveniently left out that he was assaulted first. Wonder why you left that part out? Hmmm...cause it was a gamecock?

Willingly engaging in a needless physical confrontation isn't defending yourself.

If someone pushed him, they were wrong as well. I'm not biased in this scenario.

Come up to Illinois, I don't go to that he77 hole on Columbia. Haven't been back in that sorry junk hole since 1966. So come on up, as I can't travel at the present as I have a quadricep tendon torn and still on crutches.

Nov 26, 2017, 5:56 PM

If a player removes his helmets on the field he's going to draw a flag. The worst that can happen if the player is obeying the rules on the field is a flag and a burning ears from fans talking chit about him.

Players remove their helmets when they get to the bench area

Nov 26, 2017, 6:06 PM

That area is in front of the major supporters of the home team. Those folks don't throw anything but ugly words.

You have me all wrong. I think the unsportsmanlike actions are disgusting and shameful but I think we're making a big deal out of it.

Imo, that team which refused to shake Mayfield's hand was more unsportsman like that Mayfield. When he made the nasty gesture I respected that those who baited him weren't being filmed so we have no idea what they were saying.

The boy walked out on the field and stuck his hand out showing sportsmanship and the opponents refused which tells me he's a better man than they.

The water bottles didn't hurt anyone but Carolina fans. They revealed the basic character of the coots' younger generation and put it on full display. That didn't bother me at all. When people think about SC they will remember their behavior and remember our POChampionship(s). That suits me fine.

Referees, other innocent people in the stands, cameramen, etc. All in the vicinity of those thrown bottles.

2024 orange level memberbadge-donor-05yr.jpg flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Nov 26, 2017, 6:12 PM

They ought to wear helmets too. Pardon my facetiousness but if a camera guy gets beaned it's no skin off my butt. If the officials take one to the face I'm sure they've made a bad call against us at one time or another.

They should have cleared the end zone of all the fans. Bet if it happens at Clemson, Dabo will have it done. Totally classless and uncalled for. Put a few in jail and it would probably stop, especially if they spent 30 days behind bars.
