Contractor.net/am I the #######?

Apr 11, 2022, 7:52 AM

Still waiting on the contractor to come fix the plumbing issue.

I know they are busy.

I know I'm not the only project they are working on.

But it's been 4 months since we started this process and all I have is a couple of 2x4's some paint on the ground and two holes dug.

Am I the ####### for telling him to get his ### out here and start working or he's fired?

No one GAF anymore. They have too much work and small projects they just don't care.

Seems he's having that problem too

He's trying to schedule the people to come out and work and they are too slammed to come out.

Like my life, I picked the worse time to do an addition.

And I understand his side of it too. I've worked with contractors for 6 years. But as the general contractor, it's his job to get this #### done or give me my money back.

Brad Brownell: Only Larry freaking Shyatt has a WORSE overall winning percentage among Clemson basketball coaches since 1975. Let that sink in. It's Larry Shyatt & then Brad Brownell.

100% upfront, right? Isn't that how everyone does this?

Right?

I never took you to be so greedy.

That contractor has a family to feed and you expect him to come work himself to the bone for your comfort. You expect this even though you know he is working multiple jobs to make ends meet. He is working for you, so it is your responsibility to make sure he can afford all of his needs and gets fulfillment out of replacing your sewer line.

If you want him to show up, how about respecting him as a worker and paying him more.

I don't remember who called it, but someone already

have a string outline of the addition laying on the ground between some stakes that have already been knocked over.

When cooch tries to move fwd with someone else to do the work, contractor dude magically shows back up and drops a mechanics lien on the house for about twice the amount of the whole thing...then eventually, will "settle" for supplies and costs..that will be about 2/3 of the original budget.

Sounds like we are right on schedule.

To be completely fair and honest

It was all of us. The entire Lounge.

Apr 11, 2022, 11:28 AM [ in reply to I don't remember who called it, but someone already ]

but when you consider the abundance of work for contractors out there right now, and the fact that this guy needed the job bad enough to still go through FBC's negotiation process and agree to the job, this was only the real logical conclusion.
