Complete mismanagement of our pitching staff and poor

Apr 29, 2017, 7:18 PM

hitting. We are terrible with RISP right now. Yeah UNC has a good team ERA, but two games in a row no their guys have not had their good stuff and we still struggle. Pinder is hurting us at the top going 0-everything, but Davidson comes up with more men on than anyone on the team and he can't do anything other than K. Useless.

I would've agreed with pulling Eubanks if we had a reliable bullpen, but the second Monte strolled to the mound to make the change I knew it was over. It seems like over the last month, anytime we bring in a reliever with men on they cant get outs. Gilliam has been horrid his last three outings, and Hennessy has be awful since we got into ACC play.

Hey tiggerz04 - do you still think Hennessy is any good?

Eubanks had thrown around 115 pitches. You can't leave him in any longer than that. In fact, I was incredibly surprised he came back out to start the eighth.

Are you serious? After seeing our bullpen the last 3 weeks you would've been willing to not send him out to start the 8th and leave it to our bullpen to get 6 outs? heck no

"Complete"? Mismanagement? What a way to describe a relatively well played game thru a majority of a contest, especially against a top three team on the road. Blame the staff, but then complain about a lack of production.

I guess the other team did not have anything to do with the outcome. Opinions sometimes need to be understated rather than quite so blunt. Clemson would not have even been in this series if Leggett were still coaching. The team is in a second year building mode and posters cannot seem to grasp just how fortunate we are to be watching a rebirth of Tiger baseball despite a few shortcomings.

Go Tigers!

Who cares what Jack would've done with this team? We're not supposed to feel better about these last 2 games b/c we blew them with Monte coaching and not Jack? Everything Tiger Sowell said was spot on.

contact DRad and apply for the job. Lee is only in his second season here and has done a great job. you remind me of a loud mouth parent at a little league game who doesn't want to take the time to coach but coaches from the stands.

Yes pitching is a problem along with hitting and fielding

This team has probably over achieved. I was harassed unmercifully several weeks ago for pointing out some of their glaring weaknesses. Our rotation is worn out. The relievers and closer can not be counted on to get an out. So what do you do? Dance with who brung you and hope something changes. We so far have LOB in the past two games 15 runners. Clutch hitting is sorely lacking. This brings up Coach Starbuck who is supposed to be such a mentor to players especially when they are having problems at the plate. Don't blast me for saying this, I was told this several weeks ago. Ok I concede that I am not the coach, but doing the same thing over and over expecting a different result is called insanity. Coaches coach and players play and right now neither are doing a good job.

Ok, posters,
I addressed the topic spot on. YOUR sorry choice of words within the initial post was totally "way out of line" unless you want to do nothing but act pissed off at a coach and team.

Take Monte's place or insert Leggett with your know it all perception and see what you accomplish! Sometimes it is NOT what you say, but how you say it that needs to be noted.

Have a nice Sunday watching/listening to Tiger baseball.
