Compare Tigers to Bama

So, including the 2014 season and to now (CFP era), Clemson has lost 5 games to ACC opponents... GaTech, FSU, Pitt, Syr, and ND. During that same span, they are 12-4 against the mighty SEC (LOL). They have gone to the last 6 CFPs
Bama during that span, has lost to 5 teams in SEC games, Miss, Miss, Aub, LSU, Aub. During that same span, they are 5-2 against the ACC. They have gone to 6 CFPs, but their current streak is 2. Their longest streak in CFPs is 4.
You can't say that the ACC is week because they can't challenge Clemson. At least, not without saying the same thing about the SEC and Bama. Both conferences have had 3 teams represent them in the CFPs. Yet, the rest of the SEC is just as futile against Bama as the ACC is against the Tigers!

But it is the "SEC" where there are only quality losses! I wondering when Sabin is going to knock on Dabo's door and ask for a job?

go up in the rankings. ESPN does a spectacular job of protecting their investment every year, with all the constant overhyping of SEC teams. In reality, it is Bama and everyone else, just like the ACC is Clemson and everyone else.
That is the real driving force behind increasing the number of teams in the CFP. ESPN wants to have more SEC teams in there with a chance that one of them will knock off Clemson before Bama has to face us.

They beat us once. We won the next. They beat us again. Then we opened a 55 gallon can of whoop a$$ in Caly. This is all I know.

For the record, Clemson is 2-2 vs Alabama in the CFP landscape but are actually 2-1 in the Championship games. We lost in 2015 with DeShaun Watson ,won in 2016 with DeShaun , and won in 2018 with Trevor. The other loss was in 2017 with Kelly Bryant at quarterback.

Did we not lose to LSU in the Championship so we are actually 2-2.

Give the pups all the preseason praise they deserve!
This game will be big publicity for both teams but we have the most to gain & the least to loose.

It is not as much about losses as it is having teams capable of winning a title in November.
Here are the SEC Schools with 1 loss or less entering into November. 2014 - Ole Miss, Auburn, Miss State, and Alabama 2015 - LSU and Alabama 2016 - Alabama and Texas A&M 2017 - Alabama, Auburn, and Georgia 2018 - Alabama, LSU, Georgia, Kentucky 2019 - Alabama, LSU, Georgia, 2020 - Alabama, Texas A&M, Florida, and Georgia
Here are the current ACC Schools with 1 loss or less entering into November 2014 - FSU 2015 - Clemson 2016 - Clemson and Louisville 2017 - Clemson and Miami 2018 - Clemson 2019 - Clemson 2020 - Clemson

But, would that not be a measure of how many SEC lEast teams you play in a given year? And there are a lot of 1 loss teams that do not make the playoffs. Each conference has had one season with two teams in the playoffs....
Not sure about the rest, but I saw Kentucky and Georgia listed for 2018...Kentucky had losses to Georgia and Tenn the first two weeks in November, so before the championship weekend, they had three losses. Syracuse had a better year than Kentucky that year, so it shatters your argument.
Maybe it would have been a better argument to look at the week before the championship weekend. But then, it would drop off a lot of your SEC teams, without the ACC teams changing...
