This how you act when you're that age... at least I did, and that was many, many years ago. Some things never change, and on that you can rely. What virus? I'm just gonna' live life like there's no tomorrow, because I don't know what that means anyway! I'll prolly' just miss my 8-O'clock class tomorrow morning.

I get it. I was young once. The vast majority of them will be asymptomatic or minimally symptomatic, but this does not bode well for professors, cafeteria staff, and local shop owners. Cowboy football players better be monks if they wanna play. Again, I get it. Almost all of them are going to be fine, but a crowded bar scene isn't great for Stillwater or any area. The longer folks behave like this, the longer this mess will drag on. I wish folks would rethink going to bars, but in fairness, when I was their age I was doing exactly what they're doing.

Some may advocate pushing through to fully normal pre-pandemic activities. If Covid hot spots break out on campuses or public schools, then closures are imminent to reduce legal liability for bad outcomes regardless of statistics. Defense arguments may have merit but there’s a cost to make them.
My daughter and SIL (both lawyers) say it’s a good time to be a lawyer. (Before someone says something negative, daughter does real estate and SIL works for DAs office.)
