This would be like Clemson beating Syracuse, Pitt and the other bottom feeders on our schedule then bragging about being a top program. But we can brag about Clemson after beating Auburn, FSU, Louisville , OSU all top programs.
Who have the coots best that have a winning record or has been ranked at the time of the win. Overrated Tenn, who else? In last 2 years. We have more wins this year to date than the coots have in 2 years to date.
So I guess they are back if you are a coot fan!

Considering most USC fans went into this season hoping for team that can show improvement and possibly make it to a bowl game there is reason for excitement. We are now a W Carolina win away from bowl eligibility and now a possible win over Florida that no one would have guessed we had a shot at a month ago.
I also would love to be going into our game on a win streak. I think it would make our game that much better in the public eye would be really pumped up by ESPN. Who knows, if Bentley can continue playing at the level he has been and we do beat Florida you might even get College Gameday there.

You've simply played a much easier schedule.
The UT win was a decent win that few really anticipated but they are so beat-up and depleaed with injuries, it's ridiculous.

Of course they will pick our game (sarcasm font). Why wouldn't they pick a probable blowout by an 11-0 team vs a potential 7-4 team. There aren't any other good games that day. It's not like Michigan and Ohio state are playing forn B1G supremacy and a spot in the playoffs. Or Alabama and Auburn playing for the SEC Championship.

To go from bottom o' barrel to midlin' in worst division (consensus opinion that) in any Power 5 conference in CFB yeah that's something to be excited about for sure.

Why would you presently be excited ? Is it the fact that you beat a typically overrated and underperforming Tennessee team , or the fact that you've managed to get it to 5-4 while playing one of the weakest schedules in the Power 5 ?
I mean , your offense is lukewarm with Bentley and your defense is seemingly decent , but looking at the offenses ya'll have played is it really a food measuring stick ?
I would posit that if Wake Forest had played your schedule to this point they would at worst be a 6-3 football team .

You're right, what else can USC fans really want? USC really has improved and are on their way back. 6-3 (5-2 in Pac 12 play) is not necessarily up to standard, but definitely shows they're on an upward trend from the probation of the Pete Carroll regime.
