Like another post suggested, it wouldn't be good for the Tigers,

because I would bet money the Sooners would come straight after Venables.

I hope Riley stays put!!

First of all BV has stated that he is not interested in being a head coach. Furthermore would you want to go back to an old work place after having more success in your new one?

They would want him because of his success and
the fact that they know him well, and need some better defense.

He may turn it down but they would come after him.

If you were OU wouldn't you want a proven winner?

I hope you are right if this happens with Riley..
I want Venables to stay til he retires. Absolutely the best defensive mind
in college football.

If Venables ever leaves, I think it would only be if Dabo leaves first. And in any case, he will not leave while his sons are still enrolled. The guy is a loyal bulldog, and a great one.

Speaking of Jake, he said, I recruited him. What kind of credibility as a coach or a father would I have if I up and left. Maybe not his exact words but close.
