Still out there making plays because the team needs him
Clowney
Week 1 - Stomach bug Week 2 - Coaches fault Week 3 - Hurt in practice/bone spurs Week 4 - Bye week Week 5 - Offenses running away from his side of the ball Week 6 - Bruised ribs Week 7 - Change Bruised ribs to strained muscle near ribs
Pulled himself from the lineup and did not play and unsure if he will play against Arkansas

I believe week 5 was the flu. Offenses running away from him is every time he does manage to play.

This here is what I said to a couple people...

It's amazing how the hype train on Clowney this past off-season made him seem like one (to use a Stephen A. phrase) baaaaaaaaad man. I don't care how much "talent" the guy has, it is all about him first (just like his coach) and he is filled with more excuses and is the biggest baby out there, and THAT is why I am so #### proud to be a Clemson Tiger fan.
Why did Jenkins go out, break his thumb and spit out a tooth and still keep playing in a game that we had locked up in the first half? Because A) he loves the game and wants to play, B) he loves his coaches and TEAM over himself, and C) he is a flat out baller that doesn't make excuses and is TRULY tough as nails.
SC can keep their "tough guy" QB Connor Shaw (by the way, when does THAT go from tough to him and the coaches just being stupid in having him destroy that shoulder?). And they can keep their over-rated, late first-round draft pick and falling Clowney. I will take our defense and our team any day of the week, if nothing else, just because of the effort those guys have been putting in to get better and play as a TEAM.
Go Tigers! Beat BC!

On his big announcement day (which looking back should have been the first sign of what a diva he is), I was a little worried about him not signing with us. But the more and more I've seen him play and heard everything, I'm glad we didn't. Especially as I see Beasley and company terrorizing other teams right now.

His decision was delayed because he was trying to see what school he could get in to. He couldn't qualify for Clemson or Alabama

Don't forget that Jenkins was battling arthritis pain during the summer and beginning of the season, but continued to practice anyway.

Another Comparison: Clowney vs Luck

Both were preseason lock for #1 pick. Luck proved he was worth #1 pick in his final season and got it. Clowney has all but flushed it down the toilet. DooDoo is a perfect nickname indeed.
