Clemson’s probable Pool in ACCT

Being the #3 seed, we would be paired with the #6 and #10 seed.

Right now, looking at the current standings, BC is the #6 and GT is the #10.

There are 4 pools for the 1-4 seeds. There are 3 teams in each pool, meaning 3 games will be played. You play each team in your pool once.

Therefore, BC and GT would play first and the winner would play Clemson on Wednesday.

Let’s say BC wins versus GT in game 1 of the pool. BC is 1-0, and GT is 0-1. Clemson then beats BC and makes Clemson 1-0, BC 1-1, and GT 0-1.

Clemson’s game against GT after BC then has no impact because even if we lose to them and become 1-1, everybody would be tied at 1-1 and Clemson has the tiebreak.

So the main motive for this team in the ACCT is win the first game we play, and we move on.

This is just for those of y’all who may get confused by the seeding and how pool play works out.

Sidenote, if we ended up losing to BC in the first game we play, they would be 2-0 and advance.

So overall, Clemson only needs to win first game to advance being 1-1, and GT or BC needs to be 2-0 to advance.

Why do you have us as #3 seed? We have 2nd best record at 20 - 10. UVa is #3 at 19 - 11.
