While I think it is an admirable thing to play 2nd and 3rd and whoever is dressed, I wonder about the impact this will have later in the season. One cannot simulate a "game day" situation on the practice field. However, those situations can be created in a game simply by setting up 3rd and long or 4th and 1 situations and see how the offense reacts to a "live" defense. Also, when you have pre-season Heisman potential players on your team, you should at least allow them to get "Heisman stats" before pulling them from the game. Yes, I know the flip side arguments, but wouldn't it be nice?
Finally, I think the offensive play calling is just that......offensive! Serious lack of using the TE drag s and hooks and WR quick slants, running counters, etc makes the offense too predictable and against playoff caliber teams too easy to stop. The success to date has been due to outstanding talent on the line and backfield..... NOT THE PLAY CALLING.
Hope it changes and then no one will beat us......great recruiting now AND in the future.

Ok so what happens if someone gets hurt in a meaningless “stat” padding game? Then you’re going to be the first one screaming we should have taken (insert name) here. This is what creates depth at a multitude of positions. It’s about the team in the long run not some dang trophy. How do you know that Elliot and Scott are hiding the TE game for later when we need them to expose teams? You Monday QBs kill me. They won by 42 no one got injured they played 111 players. But you want them to do more. Why? Risk getting people hurt so you can beat on your chest that you won a Heisman. Congrats I’m glad you’re not the coach

Where did you get your coaching pedigree? Nationally Champions 2 of the last three years, longest winning streak, and double digit victories! Do you think you know more than Scott and Elliott ? What do you do for a living? Do people
respond by saying they can do your job better. I’m not always happy with the play calling, but the Clemson coaches
are the experts—not you and not me!
