Coaching Rumors

I'm starting to get texts from UF friends and seeing some traction that newly hired UF head coach Billy Napier will be in Clemson later this afternoon to try to recruit him to be the DC at Florida next year, and that UF plans to make him the highest paid coordinator in college football. Has anyone heard anything regarding this? I doubt he'd leave us for another DC job...

That ain’t happening for sure. The Oklahoma head job he might but not another DC job....lol why would he?

You can't blame Napier for trying. But if Coach V stays I expect CU to go ahead and make him the highest paid DC. Or hope and pray they do??

This a joke post right? That's not even a lateral move...it's a step down at this point. And you can bet BV will continue to be the highest paid DC if he does indeed say no to OK.....if he is actually the primary target for OK.

Clemson would match anything Florida tried to offer

Oklahoma as a head coach I can see, but a lateral move to Florida would make no sense. Florida is not even close to Clemson as a program right now.
