I would bet these numbers hold up for all of CBBs tenure and probably history of Clemson basketball. 20% chance of winning a close game.

Yeah not good. Some of that definitely had to do with injuries and us not being deep enough. Pj hall was not in basketball shape the majority of the season. Didn't have depth with our bigs
until later in the season.
This is more of an anomaly under brownell. I remember you embarrassingly posted a similar stat with similar results to bash brownell. I tallied the games up and he was actually .500 in his career here.
You then pivoted and said the stat was 6 point games instead of 5 point games or something like that.

Why don't you find the thread? Do you not remember it? It must have only been about 2-3 months ago.
I looked the games up on sports reference and tallied them myself. I even broke it down by entire tenure and last 5 years if I remember correctly. You then pivoted and said it was 6 point games instead of 5 point games or vice versa.

Give Brad a lengthy contract extension, not the crappy just two years added, with a higher buyout so Brad can recruit a lot better,
Or

Where do you even get these numbers from? Per usual, they are incorrect. And the sheep just believe these stats. LOL
We beat Drake in OT
We beat NCSU by 5
We beat GT by 3
We beat VT by 4
Also, very convenient that it wasn't a 6 point spread where we beat NCSU and FSU by 6 points and didn't have any losses by 6 points. These stats are so dumb and lack context.

The correct stat is 3-8 in games decided by 5 points or less. If you throw Drake in there since it was OT, it's 4-8.

It's off that nctigs stats are always wrong made to make brownell look even worse. If brownell is that has, why do you have to adjust stats to make him worse. This isn't the first time he's done this and it was more egregious last time.
Context also matters
All of the losses except 2 were on the road or neutral court. Three of those losses came against the 1, 2, and 4 team in the ACC.
Who would have thunk it? Clemson tends to win close games to teams we more talented than and lose to teams we less talented than.
If we were losing a ton of close games to teams that were on the same level in terms of talent, that would be concerning

Lack of top talent than can get their own shot when it matters.
and more games decided by 5 pts or less because of defense/lower scoring games.
To be fair, you'd have to consider the fewer number of blowouts we have under Brownell than some of our other coaches.
I've seen us lose by 50 to Duke before...
