So, looking over the past recruiting, since 2002 (as far back as 247 commit lists provide)...it is pretty easy to see what Dabo has done for Clemson football....
During the first five years given (2002-2006), the Tigers' average rating for the whole class was 0.8344, and the average quarterback rating was 0.8425! The best QB to commit was 3 star Reese at 0.8556.
The next five years (2007-2011), our overall rating was 0.8790, and our average QB rating was 0.9069. The best QB signed was Boyd, a five star, at 0.9840, but we also got two 4 stars in Korn and Parker.
The next five years (2012-2016), our overall rating was 0.8912, and our QB average was 0.9098. Our best QB signed was 4 star Watson, with two other 4 stars, Kelly and Cooper.
The last five years (2017-2021), our overall rating was 0.9265, and our QB average was 0.9420. Our best QB was 5 star Trevor (0.9999), and we also got 5 stars Hunter and DJ, along with 4 stars Taisun and currently 4 star Klubnik. Brice (0.8681) was a very underrated 3 star, was the lowest rated QB during this period, but he was still rated higher than any QB we got in the first five year period!

So climbing the mountain is tough. But once you’re there it’s a bit easier to stay.
After the 2015 and 2016 Natty appearances. Clemson hit the scenes Nationally with recruiting. There was no way you could deny us and kids who never heard of Clemson SC before were now giving looks and once you come you are changed forever whether committing or not. You can’t forget Clemson SC

Excellent work. Thanks JPRich. This also shows how well Dabo and staff evaluate and develop kids too. He's definitely done more with less.
I would say if you looked at other schools, uga, osu, Oklahoma, LSU, Oregon, and perhaps Fla, you'd see overall class numbers similar or higher.

It cool to view the upward trend. It's definitely a fun time to be a Clemson football fan. I've been wearing Clemson gear all over Virginia since the late 80s, and people here take notice now more than ever. I can't leave the house without a stranger making a comment about our football program. Thanks for posting.
