I remember when I ordered mine in the summer or fall (don't remember which) of 1976 it was $100 or so? I don't remember for sure but it was somewhere in that general area or so (I think). Can't believe they've gone up that much now!

1976. They were around $300 then. I checked on the price of getting one a year ago or so, and it was in fact around $1300 now. So, no ring for me. Plenty of other uses for $1300 at this point in life.
