Clemson needs to double our enrollment

Gotta get bigger if we want to build out the alumni base and compete for NIL athletes.
Time to bulldoze and expand thru Thornhill Village and the botanical gardens, buy up Tri-County tech, increase our admission rate to 80%, acquire the land around the airport, encircle Lake Hartwell with facilities, create more satellite campuses in Charleston and Greenville, and build an endless row of buildings stretching from Tillman to the Ed Garrison Arena. Or buyout Southern Wesleyan and stretch the campus down 123.
Surely Winkopp has a plan to build out more condos around the area.

I don't think a lot of Clemson students would like to attend a minimum of 8 chapels per semester.
Plus Bobby Lamb will want to play the Tigers after a couple of recruiting classes.

Your enrollment. You did say "our" as if in yours. And how big are we supposed to get? And if you increase admissions how many students would not be able to attend. And if you are proposing this only for the issue of NIL, you will never compete with some of the biggest billionaires in the word. Clemson is fortunate to have one of the best coaches in the business ,a man who cares for both the well being of the student athletes ,and the University. So what if we can't compete against the Notre Dame's of the World ,or win as many National Championships as Alabama just because those schools are what they are. NIL is new and only beginning to scratch the surface. Some schools will benefit more than others. But I sure would rather be where we are now than that school 90 miles East of here.

Which part of “double” don’t you understand. 2x current level.
And by increasing enrollment, MORE students could enjoy the Clemson experience (not less).
More alumni = greater chance of a billionaire alum in the future.

Are you nuts? When was the last time you have been to Clemson? Any more buildings and apartments and the whole area will sink. NIL has everything to do with corporations spending money, how good players are and not about how big alumni base is. Clemson is bigger than Oregon but does not have Nike.

Agree with everything but the admission rate, let it be the limiting factor in keeping it classy. Don't need to create USC Jr. 2.0. Columbia has it covered.

How can Clemson have one of the bigger alumni bases when it's one of the smallest schools that makes the top 10?

I got in because they opened Clemson extension in Sumter in 1966. Otherwise, there would never have been room for me at Clemson. I was from a class C, 600 people in grades 1-12 country high school with great teachers but no AP courses, Calculus, etc. etc. Most of the kid from rural SC have little chance of getting into CU. these days.

If you want a really big campus, may I suggest you attend the school on the west bank of the Olentangy River.
