Last year Coots were ranked #1 and don't forget they had the best QB in the SEC plus they self proclaimed themselves as WRU with the best WR corp in the nation.

I heard the WRU and QB crap many times. I'm guessing they will be QBU after getting Hillinski and Doty in back to back classes. Then they will top that off by proclaiming DLU since they did get a 5* Pickens last yr.

You always fight a little harder when you're climbing the mtn... tough to defend the top.

But... Dabo has already programmed us to take care of that by only comparing us to ourselves.

Play to our standard and compare as such.

It's not QUITE that simple... but we get it.

I know this is essentially meaningless but it still is interesting that the #1 team in the CFP still hasn't won it yet... Another first we can achieve I guess!

Preseason number 1's

Last year Clemson was SI's pick for the champion preseason. The only other time I recall Clemson getting a #1 before the season began was 1990 when the New York Times had Clemson preseason #1 I believe. Should have won it that year for sure considering it was split between freaking Colorado and GT. Hatfield...
