Don't know why they didn't try to be real aggressive a foul a couple of times when Duke had the ball. Brad said just wanted to play good defense.

we might have been able to run over the guy with the ball and get no call. But then again...... we are not Duke in the last 2 minutes of a close game - refs never make a bad call against them if a game is on the line.

Brad is right, there was not enough time plus Duke shoots 73% from the line NBA player would you foul. We just needed to make 1 more 3 and you would be moving on.

See, I disagree with him. When they tried to get set into their offense, I would have gotten real aggressive and gone for the steal. We had 2 fouls to give, we foul them right b4 they go to a set play. That breaks their rhythm. Chance they'll have to throw midcourt and restart. Rinse and repeat. Gives you 2 chances to make a steal or force a bad inbounds pass. Then if we had to give a foul with seconds left we could. Meh, just another way to look at it I suppose. Either way we played tough. Good confidence boost I hope.

It’s really hard to second guess against a team like Duke that doesn’t make silly errors, they rely on their talent at the end of the game because it’s a big advantage against every team in the ACC right now.

When Duke had the ball and a 2 point lead we pressed full court then once they crossed half court we dropped back and let them run 15-20 seconds off the clock. I don’t really understand why we didn’t keep the pressure on once they crossed half court. Might have resulted in multiple possessions and certainly should have made it more hectic for them trying to set up they last basket they made. Not saying we should have fouled but just not allowed them to run the clock with no pressure.
