Having to complete rebuild a staff and a starting lineup via the portal. How is this any better than the worst case scenario with a new higher. Accept we’re paying a 13th year coach over $2 million to start a complete rebuild. It’s a total embarrassment.

Yes. We ‘re just delaying the process by a year. Maybe we’ll some better to lead it next year than we would’ve this year?

It's not that bad, it's really pretty good.

I mean, it's not like we lost every single recruit and coach. Plus, we are just getting over a pandemic and we may be teetering on the brink of WW3 and about to plunge into economic recession, and Brownell continues to win more than he loses and some of you still want better.
Seriously, I just want the apologists to be honest and admit that Clemson basketball has been broken for a long time, and quit deflecting and making ridiculous excuses. Quit putting on blinders and a happy face and try being honest for 30 seconds.

Personally, I would eliminate basketball entirely…

If you are just treating it like a hobby, why bother at all? I realize you don’t win every year, but for 2+ decades? ????? We are simply not serious when it comes to basketball. Those are the fax! So why keep pretending like we care. We clearly don’t!

and not committed to competing at a high level (and we're not, and I don't want to hear the excuses), then we should end the embarrassment, have the BOT and other admin responsible muster up some integrity and bawlsack and step forward and scrap the program.

a significant amount of the ACC television money comes from basketball although most comes from football.
We keep basketball for the same reason that Wake and Duke keep football.
We want the money from the conference.
but I agree if you can't be competitive then stop spending money on it.
This spending so much money and getting very little return sucks.

Yes, let’s just accept winning 1 more game than losing as you say. I think you might finally be on to something here. Why did everyone not consult you earlier and we could have saved all this back and forth??
