Dabo and TE stuck with him and coached him thru.
"We" (i.e. the majority of 'fans' voicing an opinion) called for his replacement/benching all season.
Disclaimer: There are definitely individuals on this board and others that stuck by the kid and if you are one of them good on you. But over whelming majority of voices were calling for replacing him as well and TE. I haven't forgotten and I am sure his Dad hasn't forgotten.

His play would’ve received the same reaction, and criticism at any other school in America, most would probably be more severe. Can you imagine if he was playing for Bama? Not saying all of it was warranted, but you’re not a “bad fan” for wanting better from someone who was the top QB in the country. I would think that Big Dave understands that, although it’s hard to separate when it’s your child.

We were a decent QB away from being in the playoffs again this year. We won despite horrible QB play, so if he transfers I say good luck to him. We should get a veteran QB out of the portal and hope Klubnik lives up to the billing because DJ didn’t.

I do think many of the comments and the booing were too much for sure. However, DJ did not perform well this year. If we had had a viable alternative, DJ would have been benched well into the season.
If Cade grasps the game early and DJ does not improve significantly, DJ may leave Clemson, but I doubt Lincoln Riley is salivating at the prospect of getting DJ through the transfer portal.
DJ's success is in his hands and I wish him well. I hope he figures it out. The carping of the fans comes with being the starting QB at a major college program and drastically underperforming expectations.

What happened to all that "Clemson Family 4Life" stuff? This is like the 3rd time in the last month i've see him posting about how great Ohio State, Nick Saban, and now USC is. Kinda odd.
