Curious... Question for the Anti-Christian group

Mar 27, 2020, 9:31 PM

That has cluttered the board this week (for some strange reason), demanding to know why can’t Christians get God to present himself on demand and then proceeds to bashing people’s beliefs continuously.

You come to a board to discuss religion and that’s cool, but my question is why is it just Christians that’s being targeted on the board? I have yet to see one post asking Muslims why can’t they get Allah or Muhammad to present himself. I haven’t seen a post where one of you guys has ask a Buddhist if you could rub Buddha’s belly for good luck. What about the eight arm Hindu god? No one had questioned Hinduism on the board and asked why they worship a cow?

My point is that it is the same guys who are constantly playing victim and lecturing on how profiling, racism and treating people different is wrong, but then proceed to be a hypocrite and use the practices they condone. Isn’t that a form of racism and profiling? Targeting a certain group of individuals based on their differences?

So again I ask, why so much interest in just the Christian belief and no others?

Sounds like you have that problem? Just ask for forgiveness if you feel you have conviction!

i'll chime in here.
I think most people like myself, figure that most of the religious folks here are Christians. Just as I am guessing if theres a chat board in India, it would be about the multi-armed fairy tale god(s) you spoke. I think thats a logical reason and I cant understand why you'd even have such a question

For the record I think it's all made up and completely phony as hell.

lastly, you seem to be confused on what racism is. i'll help you with that here:
Racism - prejudice, discrimination, or antagonism directed against someone of a different race based on the belief that one's own race is superior.

Christianity is a religion NOT a race

I understand completely what racism is. I understand what profiling is as well. My point is that those who are whining about people being discriminated against for various reasons, crying racism and inequality and thinking of every reason to blame others for their own well being or lack there of, are the same ones (especially on this board) bashing Christianity. It’s the same thing in the big picture. It is still treating someone differently because you see yourself differently whether it’s by belief or race. In my opinion is the same thing.

Wow! Sounds like you got some bigger issues than the atheists on this chat board. And just maybe you’re a little to thin skinned to be anonymously on a board with other anonymous persons that you will likely never meet. If you are so insecure about your beliefs perhaps you shouldn’t be in the discussion, just sayin

You can make whatever definition to words that you like, doesn’t make them true

So if one comes on the board and bashes another’s religious beliefs it’s a simple opinion and all’s well. But if one ask a question it is a much deeper issue and it’s thin skin. I see where you stand bro. Just because it isn’t offending you doesn’t mean that it isn’t a form of discrimination.

Yes it’s an opinion. What about opinions do you not get?You are welcome to your opinions too, including ones I think suck...I or someone might call that opinion on stupid, but that’s how it works

But if one ask a question it is a much deeper issue and it’s thin skin. I see where you stand bro. Just because it isn’t offending you doesn’t mean that it isn’t a form of discrimination

Again getting words confused. Disagreeing with religious and or political beliefs IS NOT discrimination...now if all Christians or whatever religion were banned from this board, now that would be discrimination, BUT still not racism. As of now your opinion is worth just as much as mine = $0.00

Probably because there are no Muslims that post here. I prefer Christianity over Islam though. I am agnostic.

You’re not special, islam and other religions are just as dumb. I have the same questions for them.

In fact, I don’t really separate the two, you guys are two sides of the same coin: conservative snd religious (although Christianity is current less violent ill give them that) but otherwise its the same nonsense.

Also, no, calling out silly ideas is not the same as racial profiling. I’m not “bashing” you, get a grip.

If you’re beliefs are so brittle that’s your own problem

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Re: Curious... Question for the Anti-Christian group

Mar 28, 2020, 12:50 AM

It’s the exact same. My religion is pretty solid. I’m not really concerned about that. I just think it’s funny how you guys think it’s only offensive if someone insults your beliefs. Such hypocrites.

As I said, you got some stuff to work out. Comprehension is one of them. You obviously missed me saying “what did I miss, been away”
Furthermore, even if I read every single post on every single thread on this board, I may not come the same conclusion and see things that you see. Hence the question. Try to use your words

Are you wanting me to guide you through the steps on how you navigate through the board? I can’t do it for you. There isn’t but 10 post directly speaking about Christianity. Looks like I’m not the one with a reading comprehension problem. Also, I have nothing to “work out”. A question was asked and some provided answers albeit condescending ones.

It was sarcasm about the cows and Hinduism. I realize their isn’t many if any Muslims/ Buddhist or Hinduist on this board . My main point is that none of these guys have probably ever in their entire lives went to any forums and talk about how silly the Quran or other religious sacred text is.

Try calling out the Muslims in person. It probably won’t go well.

Challenging your religion is not racism

Mar 28, 2020, 11:52 AM

I respect all religions, I believe all have the right to worship and believe what ever they see fit. Just don’t ask me to have my life impacted because you have faith in your religion and think it’s “the one”.

Stop trying to prevent homosexuals from marrying, stop trying to prevent alcohol sales on Sunday, stop preventing access to birth control, stop trying to legislate your religion...
By the way, just so you don’t feel like I’m targeting you, I feel the same way about sharia law it’s just that it doesn’t impact me in the us.

Buddhist similar religions actually do a good job of getting along with everyone without trying to force their beliefs on others.

Don’t take this as I’m an atheist, I’m humble enough to know I don’t know about creation. I think each religion shares an underlying set of good principles that you should try to live your life by. Be nice to others, respect others, respect elders, don’t kill, don’t hurt, basically be a good person. Then there are parts that are definitely man made surrounding making war with those who don’t believe what you believe and people who will take parts of their bible/etc and interpret them so hey can hate on someone different from them. I’m not looping you in that category just saying there’s a reason why people who don’t prescribe to religions as rigorously as you call it out.

So join the discussion man. Don’t take it personally. If you have a beef with Buddhist let me hear it. Maybe my experience with them when I travelled through Asia was an anomaly and they are dicksss. And know why we discuss Christianity so much is much like why we discuss Clemson football so much rather than cricket.

Touch, All of these supernatural beliefs are just as obtuse and without evidence. It is just in this country, there are far more christians spouting their silliness and so they are the ones to get our attention.

When's the last time you saw a muslim promoting his religion on here ??

I don’t recall making it a racial issue and don’t twist my words. I was saying that insulting someone’s faith is the same as insulting them in any other way including racially.
