Lincoln Riley is an air-raid guy

and as good an offensive mind as he is, I think we will stay in house on this one.
We need Scott's extensive recruiting ties in Florida, and keeping him around means very little changes offensively, at least in terms of verbiage/terminology/philosophy.

Co=coordinators almost never work. Make a decision of who is the coordinator and go with it.

Hope Scott gets his chance. I think he's in a much better position to succeed than Napier was.

Surprised that he hasn't announced yet. Today's coaching

carousel will be going into high RPM mode tonight. I suspect we'll hear Florida's choice soon and I suspect it's going to leave a big hole in CFB that will need to be filled. Ripple effect are going to be deep this year.
If Spurrier does leave it looks like the only choice left for U of Coot will be Lane Kiffin

Doubt Killin would take that job. Let's not forget his Alston Jeffrey comments.

After that game on Saturday, it'd be hard to be any happier... But they go ahead and announce Lane Kiffin as their head coach and it would officially go down as the best week I'll ever have. I could go ahead and die, because I know it won't get any better.

Coach Swinney likely has a plan for the OC position...

...given the fact that Coach Morris has been in the conversation to be a HC practically every year since he came on board.
Understanding the dynamics of recruiting and in-house systemic ties, I understand why Jeff Scott is a natural candidate for the OC position. However, everyone remembers when we went with a popular and smart in-house guy before Chad Morris arrived. So, I'd absolutely hate to see things get uncomfortable for Coach Scott given the heat that comes with the OC position. Ideally, I'd like for Coach Scott to be here for as long as he wants.
Because Clemson is recruiting so well and has so many talented young players, I'm averse to changes at all...but that's not an option for the program.
For conversation's sake, I'm impressed with young Lincoln Riley at ECU. What he's done there has to get your attention. ECU is 3d in the national Total Offensive statistics this year, behind only Marshall and Baylor. ECU had 1971 Rushing yards and 4011 Passing yards, 5982, total. In comparison to the 2013 Clemson stats with Tajh, Hot Rod, and Sammy, Clemson had 2283 Rushing yards, 4328 Passing yards, for 6611 yards, total.
Personally, I prefer a stronger running game because it is my belief that running the football, playing defense, and having solid special teams/kicking with limited mistakes will win a lot of games.
Still, I'm impressed with young Lincoln Riley. Take a look: http://www.ecupirates.com/sports/m-footbl/mtt/riley_lincoln00.html.
Yet, the bottom line is that I trust Coach Swinney to make the decision that's best for Clemson.
He, more than anyone, understands how important this hire is.

Jeff Scott > Billy Napier. They aren't even in the same

universe.
Jeff Scott would be a great choice! He reminds me alot of Dabo when Dabo first came here as a WR coach. Engaging, Energetic, and loves his players. He's a rising star and this would be a great job for him!

You know what I mean. It sounds like he might be the man.
I know how important that he's been for Clemson.
