As a head coach he sucked, but as an offensive coordinator at Clemson he was productive. He would have tried more last night! Plain and simple.

Yeah, but he was completely unable to do anything with personnel that didn’t fit his system. He wasn’t able to scheme a game plan according to his players’ strengths. I think that was super telling in the bowl game vs OK when Elliot and Scott took over at O co-coordinator and put together a plan for Cole Stoudt. Stoudt played lights out that night that night to a great gameplan and earned the MVP. I think that’s one think that was so disappointing about last night. Elliot seemed to have no play calling that could adapt.

Allen High School opened the $60 million Eagles Stadium in 2012 and subsequently went on an 84-game regular-season winning streak. They appeared unstoppable and it was anyone’s guess when the streak would finally be snapped.
But as they say, all good things must eventually come to an end.
Under head coach Chad Morris, who was hired this offseason, Allen began the 2021 season with an impressive 56-30 victory again Plano East. However, their fortunes turned on a dime on Friday night.
The Atascocita Eagles came to town and refused to be intimidated. They took it to Allen from the opening whistle and refused to let up, eventually walking away with a 41-20 victory. It was an upset of epic proportions.

He might be available if he gets fired from his current HS job.
Allen High School has a state of the art $60 million football stadium, and it hadn’t lost at home since 2010 and had a ridiculous 84-game home winning streak. Until Friday night.
Morris’ Allen High School got smoked 41-20 by Atascocita, which is near Houston. Allen High School is now 1-1 on the season.

He was a good OC. Players seemed to like him also. Being the HC isn't always all that.
Smashmouth Spread offense was always a great moniker for the style even though it didn't always play out that way.
