The one who has really stood out to me this year is Adrian Baker. I think you can definitely pencil him in at one DB spot.

I think it will look something like this... CB-Tankersley/Fields Nickel-Wiggins S-Green/Gibson S-Johnson/Smith CB-Baker/Chalmers/Carter
I would watch the progress of Fields and Baker as they will push each other for the starting spot opposite of Tankersley I think.

He got a bad angle on a Mobile QB...very common
Took a mean stiff arm from arguably the best RB in the nation...
Shut out vs Miami so ....yea

While I admit he has had some breakdowns, the same could also be said of others as well. I would content that imo he is one of the better tacklers on the teams. Yes, he has been caught out of position several times but also made some key tackles aside from the lumber laying hits. How about the 3-4 times he ran a guy down from behind. His leadership in the D Backfield will be huge next year imo.

I think the real question is who's leaving from our secondary...once we figure that out, the rest will take care of itself. I'm putting my money on Van Smith and Mark Fields...both are STUDS

Smith looked good in mop up against Miami but didn't look very good against the Heels. Baker and Johnson are way ahead of them right now. Johnson will be the 1st to grab a safety spot if one comes open. I also like gibbons length and attitude- he needs to add 10-15 in the offseason
