My family was reasonably poor, so they would not give me a quarter to get some food out of the vending machine for the goats. But being 4, and a dumb kid, I saw all of these black pellets on the ground and mistook them for goat food that they had dropped. Well, wouldn't you know it, I gathered a hand full of this stuff and the goats all lined up to eat their own magic black pellets.
I learned a valuable lesson that day, and at an early age, one that resonates all the way into adulthood with humans.
