By all accounts, he considered us up until the end. He chose a great program and coach to play for.

It couldn't be that he was simply coining an age old phrase. Or, it couldn't possibly be that Clemson had a mile-and-a-half lead, and he was sincerely (at the time) foreshadowing by repeating a phrase associated with Dabo Swinney, only to have an honest change of heart later on. Nope, those are impossibilities. "Trolling" is an easy way to explain away and deal with the disappointment of a high school kid choosing another school after one has bought into a lot of hype over the past few months.
