My dad & I got tickets at the last minute yesterday and went to the game. Sat right behind Miami's bench in section O. Bunch of loudmouths started talking smack before our first TD.
One loudmouth said something along the lines of "We're gonna beat y'all worse than Notre Dame did." After we went up 14-0, I said, "Notre Dame could actually run the ball. The fact that you bring up somebody else's team instead of focusing on your's shows your lack of confidence." He then goes, "I'm not even a Miami fan. I'm a Florida fan here with my son (son's clearly not into football)." I didn't say a word. I pulled up the ESPN app on my phone, clicked on the UF-Vandy scoreboard, and put it about 2 feet from his face. I asked him, "You still wanna talk?" Seconds later, dude left with his kid and didn't come back. Priceless.
Another loudmouth asked my dad, "How many national championships does Clemson even have?" My dad silently held up 3 fingers. The guy goes, "Oh that's cute. We've got 5." My dad deadpans, "Yeah, but my youngest son wasn't even born yet when y'all won the last one. How relevant are y'all right now?" The guy just turned around and was gone before halftime. I think he couldn't deal with the facts or the cold; probably both.
Just wanted to share these hilarious exchanges. Happy Sunday y'all. It's officially Coot Smackdown week!
This type of interaction at games is ONE reason I don't attend

often and when I do don't sit in my seat but instead walk around stadium to various different viewing spots, maybe interact with a Tiger Fan, get a refreshment, etc.
Have chatted with Tam band members & like.
Yep, being at games & being single has its advantages.
Sure, I miss having 4 season tix @ DV with family from 1966-1986 or so but no big deal now.
From the Canes “Eye in the Sky” fan forum yesterday: “I picked a bad day to stop watching online ####”?
In 2017 at the ACCCG, I had two drunk, chain wearing canes fans stand at the front of us at the front rail blocking the game view. We were in the first row of seats. Police finally came (I didn’t call for them) and they sat in their seats and passed out before Halftime!
