I loved the Marathon Bar as a kid, cuz "it lasts a long, long time".
Loved the Marathon bars. Bought some Curly Wurly bars recently that are supposed to be the same, but they just didn’t seem the same. Maybe because it has been so long, or maybe it is because I’m not a kid any more and I rarely eat candy bars.

I was a”forever yours” candy bar lover but the one thing I wish was still around was my bride who died at the age of 43!!

Forrest tiger I gave you a thumbs up, but wish it was something more like a hand on your shoulder. I am sorry for your loss and I can not imagine that kind of pain. Thanks for sharing and I am reminded that we all have different things in life that shape us and make us different. The one thing we all share is loss, pain, and memories that we cannot erase. At the end of the day, whether we support Brownell, cheer for a rival team, or have ideological disagreements, we are all just human beings trying to make the most of what is given to us.

I haven't seen it in 30+ years. We used to stop at an old country store in Lee County when we were rabbit hunting and I'd pick up a few packs. The flavor didn't last long, but it was dadgum good.

I loved the Mars Bar but I would settle for any of the chocolates before they started using corn syrup and oils instead of sugar and cocoa butter. Give me a small delicious bar instead of a cheap bar 3 times too big.
Our neighbor is English and every time she returns from a visit she brings us candy. The quality isn't even close. Snickers, MilkyWay, KitKat, even Marathons (yes they still make them) although smaller, taste sooo much better.
We don't buy American chocolates anymore.
