Cancelling Football Could Have Disastrous Consequences ?

I hope that I am wrong but let's just imagine what cancelling the College football season could mean for students, staff, programs, scholarships, & everything in between.

1. Less Revenue means less money available for scholarships (Academic & athletic)

2. Less Revenue means smaller budgets and cancellation of some programs that rely on bigger
programs such as football to operate. While Clemson has a healthy economy, the collapse of
other schools budgets could have a domino effect

3. Imagine working all thru High School and then losing the opportunity to go to College
because it is now un-affordable

4. The increase in mental health issues and suicide may rise exponentially

5. The IPTAY situation has shown a small glimpse of what can happen, some donors are
not in it for the helping students but for the ball tickets or prestige that comes
with that sticker on the truck window or better parking.

6. Francis Marion will have to wait another year to wear the Sun Dresses they had
picked out for this years home games, he may never recover from that
disappointment

7. Anything else I missed?

It’s not ideal, but nothing has been this year.

Much like businesses it may weed out some of the lesser programs.

I thnk the main driver is to move it to the spring in hopes that they can sell tickets to the games. IT's all about $$$$. That's pretty clear.

The businesses in all the college towns that depend on fall football season to make ends meet They will close their doors and more than half will not be able to reopen.

They could care less about students or the economy. When you are doing the right thing (in their liberal zealot mindset), collateral damage is expected.

They can spend the season renaming all the university facilities.
