Can you recall walk-on OL awarded scholarships

Seems most are skilled players, but could be wrong.

Phillip Price.

But he was technically a TE when he was a walk on.

So maybe he sort of counts.

Luke Price, currently a walk on TE, had an older brother who was a walk on that later got a scholarship. Was our starting offensive tackle. Can’t recall his name at the moment.

Walk on in 2001 that played center for Charlie Whitehurst for several seasons. Was under 6ft and initially around 245 lbs. Eventually gained some weight although it was not distributed proportionally. A friend met Tommy and Charlie at Downtown Alive in Greenville and of course Charlie was gracious and introduced Tommy as his starting center. Friend looked at Tommy and said you're kidding me, how? Charlie said he's like a bulldog, comes in low and gets tangled up in their legs. Truth was, he was one of the better lineman on a mostly weak line. More effective than many of the 4 star players we have recruited that never played a snap. One in a million for sure.
