That DJ was ranked 107 of 110 quarterbacks because our receivers and OL didn’t play well? I’m not buying some of the things I’m reading. I hope DJ wins the Heisman but we ALL will be surprised if he comes close.

If I had to estimate I would say he would clearly be in the bottom half and most likely the bottom third by himself.
His surrounding cast is what helped tank an individually rough performance by DJ this season.

That statement is in reference to who gets the blame and not who has the most impact on the outcome.
Players win and lose the games, but good coaches will fall on the sword for their players after a loss.

Coaches can draw up great game plans, but the players have to execute. Yes, coaches can make in-game adjustments. Still, players do have to make those in-game changes also. Obviously, everyone looks so smart when winning, and like dumb arses when losing.

If that game was the Pitt game then 96th place would have been good enough for an ACC title game appearance.

To be clear this is not a post in support of DJ, but more toward the thought of what a defense we wasted this season.
With the 96th best QB in the country we could be looking at maintaining our ACC title streak.

Been exceptional DJ would have been in Top 40 and we would have won ACC and gone to at least an NY6 bowl. I still think DJ took such a big step back that we would not have been offensively able to compete at CFP level in 2021.

That may be a stretch.
His adjusted completion percentage removing all dropped passed was still around 67% which was sitting at 14th in the ACC I believe.
