i have a serious question because i am really interested in your answer: when you say that Newton is a thug, is that a thug like Bernie Madoff (taking the money) or thug like the local guy that has string of run-ins with the law (robbery, domestic violence, substance abuse, wreckless behavior)? i'm not sure that i can relate to Newton being a thug. i personally know thugs, he doesn't fit those guy's mold...

It's competition, it's not backing down, it's winning, it's attitude.
I remember practicing in heat equal to that of a small nuclear explosion. Tempers get short...it happens. If you don't get rubbed the wrong way and want to punch out a teammate during summer practice, then I question your fire (NOTE, not a Steve Smith sucker punch though...)

i don't correlate one situation as a pattern of behavior. he was immature and hopefully has matured to become a better person. by all accounts, he doesn't engage in criminal behavior. if there are other documented or undocumented situations, then those i am unaware of. but if that's your view, then, ok, i understand that's how you see it, i just wanted your clarity... thanks.

Who cares about a mediocre QB on an average at best NFL team?
Panthers are awful. And Cam is below average and way overrated if anything.

I agree. Cam is an overrated, inconsistent hot dog. The only thing he brings to the table is his ability to run. He's NOT a good NFL QB.
I like the Panthers okay,(though I'm a Steelers fan 100%) but they have historically made idiotic personnel decisions. Drafting Cam Newton was one of those decisions.
