Hitting the transfer wire that hard simply shows what an utter failure BB recruiting efforts have been at Clemson. It also shows that he has not been able to retain players to have that many openings/

Transfer are nothing more than a crap shoot. Transfers happen because the player was not happy, the coach was not happy with the player or the player was a failure or not good enough.

Relying on transfer is a sure recipe for mediocrity in the program

Miami has the #11 ranked recruiting class this year and is bringing in 3 players rated 4 stars.
In the past 5 years Miami has brought in 11 players in the Top 200. Miami brought in a few transers in 2014 when the entire team either graduated or left early following the Championship season.

Clemson's recruiting class is ranked 103rd just behind Charlotte and Cal St Northridge and 14th in the ACC.

Cal St. Northridge is a low blow

Seth Curry is a little different than the transfers we are bringing in.

Clemson didn't have a single player transfer this season, so you can give the "can't keep his players" line a rest.

What's wrong with a guy like Marcquise Reed who was playing at a higher level than his school, and so he wanted to elevate his game? Same with Avry Holmes. Why is that an issue? Should Duke have turned down Seth Curry?

Your best (and only) argument is that it creates some tougher scenarios with evening out classes, but you failed to even mention it.

So does Ajukwa's transfer not count now?

Assuming Jaron leaves, then we are playing with 3 open scholarships this coming season.
