So to all you Klubnik haters 10-8 or even 5-6 weeks ago, what’s your response now!?!? I seen all of you criticize him and questioned him being the starter or even being our QB. But now I don’t see it so much so please tell me…. Why are we all of a sudden quiet?!?! This dude is a “DUDE”! He’s a stud and we all need to notice the criticism isn’t worth it. We have one of the best QB1’s. We need to start appreciating and stop criticizing him. He is a great Leader and QB!!

Yes, he is much better and playing like the QB we all heard is going to be great. I too saw some unwarranted criticisms of the kid, but also I think after the last 3 years, most of us fans were going with what we saw on the field until the App State game, and we were hopeful, but getting weary of more mediocre QB play. Now we can all debate why he was not playing well, but just glad he is showing the talent in production most of us thought he had.

I hold my breath when he starts to run, especially laterally. Reminds me so much of Jimmy “the needle” Addison back in the mid to late 60’s. Think he’s going to get broken in half on every tackle.

What? Why was he “average” against FSU? All the issues were conservative play calling IMO. Dabo admitted as much.

He’s accounted for 18 total tds in 4 games. He’s played his way into the top 10 for heisman betting odds. If that’s average, I’ll take it every day and twice on Sunday.

I think you have to take competition into consideration. The 4 teams after the UGA game are a combined 8-13. The four teams after the Wake game are a combined 15-6. I just want to see him perform against some of our better competition to know for sure if he has become as good we think he is.

Yeah but you can’t count him beating those teams against him. The next 4 teams are 8-9 outside of our games against them. Not bad, not great but not bad

Above average against NCSU???
Cade had his second highest rating and QBR of the season. If he played like that against every opponent he’d be the 7th highest rated QB for the season

He is definitely seeing the field better...but still misses seeing open guys and throws into coverage instead.
He can get nice zip on the ball up to intermediate range throws, but he can't throw a deep ball without putting a ton of air under it, and under throwing. That's an armstrength issue.
So, I would say, he's getting better with experience AND better protection and more explosive receiving options this year.
I posted a few weeks back, there is no reason we can't finish out undefeated and win the ACC with Cade at QB. That would be great!
But, I don't think he can lead us to a national championship. Right now we need more than a "really good" QB. We've got to have a guy who can actually carry the team. We've had two of those guys in recent history. Cade is not like them.
I think an ACC title and playoff birth definitely would be moving back in the right direction!

Michigan won a national championship with friggin JJ McCarthy. Cade is playing much better than him. Receivers have to stop dropping easy passes

Geez, so now you have elevated Cade above a QB who won a Natty and was the 10th selection in the 1st round of the NFL draft? Let's at least keep it real...

Mccarthy is garbage let's be honest and call a spade a spade. Dude did nothing to deserve being that pick, teams are just desperate for QBs they think they can just plug in. Corum carried that entire offense and Roman Wilson erased alot of bad throws by Mccarthy.

Last year was practically his first season. He got little to no experience behind DJ. IDK why Dabo kept DJ in the games so long during Cade's freshmen year. My contention after the first 4 games was 'sit DJ and let Cade get some experienc.'

Schedule. He has looked good against the four cupcakes since the UGA game. His numbers vs. UGA: 18/29 142 yards with an INT, and negative 17 yards rushing. His QBR was 35.3 and UGA is the only team Clemson has played (and will play this year) with a pulse.
There are many UGA fans that look at our OC Mike Bobo in the same light. Bobo is great against inferior opponents, which includes most of the SEC. What does he do against the best of the best? He wets the bed for a half in most games. Look at the last two games vs. Bama that Bobo has called plays. In 2023, UGA scored on its opening drive (scripted) and he goes to sleep until the 4th quarter (UGA loses by 3 and costs us a 3peat). Two weeks ago, UGA scores one TD in the first half. He switches things up and starts calling aggressive plays...we take the lead in the final few minutes, only to lose by 7 at the end. It was the same way when he was OC for Coach Richt.
Bobo sometimes falls asleep in big games. Cade always does. Clemson has only played three top 10 teams since Cade took over starting...Tenn in the Orange Bowl (0 TD, 2 INTs) FSU last year (1 Cade TD), and UGA this year (0 TD, 1 INT). He's 0-3 vs top 10 competition. He can beat most the cupcakes though (not including 2023 losses to Duke, Miami, and NCSt).

I'm not saying yall don't win a rematch but I do hope Cade gets a shot at yall again this year. I think the biggest thing the team took away from that game is trusting each other, turns out guys were doing a good job in segments but never cohesively. A cleaner game with less mistakes by the wrs in particular and I don't see yall blowing out Clemson. We know enough about both teams now. You look at the final score and think it wasn't a hard game for your boys, I look at it as the blue print to beating yall for other teams. Yall got one more maybe 2 more losses coming. I'm hopeful it's just one and yall get to come play at Clemson since the "Neutral site game" was in freaking Atlanta.

UGA played in your "neutral" backyard in 2021. It's funny you ignore Charlotte was basically a home game for Clem, but want to say playing in Atlanta was a home game for UGA. Blame your fans for selling this year's tickets. They were split 50/50 but the stadium was clearly 75/25. UGA could lose two more games because we actually play a competitive schedule. Playing a cupcake schedule means nothing to the voters.

I'm glad to see the improvement and love his attitude. After the Wake game, we play 4 pretty good teams in a row who are collectively 15-6 at this point.
If he fares well in all of those, then I will be convinced he has made the jump we needed him to.

I wanna hear from those who claimed racism as the reason WE wanted a change during Big Stinko years. And the main reason Cade wasn't able to develop during that period is and was that fact the Big Stinky kept the games close and CDS couldn't afford to develop anyone. Way to go Stinko....you're still a loser but your wave looked real nice on the sidelines Sat night.

1) The OL is maturing and developing thanks to Matt Luke 2) The two freshmen WR's Wesco and Moore, have raised the bar in the WR room. And a healthy AW0 was already talented and has improved his skill sets even more in offseason. 3) Cade always had skills but with little blocking, WR support or confidence needed help. He got it and he's blossoming!
All great news for Tigers!
