A few ditty's in case they purge the thread
TM stated Fields is higher on USC's CB board than M. Fitzpatrick.
Also said we are making Fields the primary target because he can play both CB and safety.
Fields is up to a 95 on 247. Dude is blowing up, definitely need him to be a Gamecock.
Clemson and **** this hack hopes he lays and egg and becomes the biggest bust in college football. #### idiot!

This comment about him on FGF shows how in denial they are over him.

The 1st post in that thread was the funniest.
They honestly think that "beating the coots historically" is a selling point for us in recruiting. smh. Baaahahahaha! I'll bet our recruiters don't even think about, must less mention that craphole in Columbia during the entire process. They think because THEY are obsessed with Clemson, that we reciprocate the feeling. It's always been this way fellas.

From Columbia, and regardless of facilities USC has one of the worst campuses I have seen. I have been to quite a few. No tradition terrible campus equals consistently mediocre teams. They have returned to the USC we have come to know and love.

If he got sold on playing on Clemson's #1 defense, good luck to him. Clemson had a top-rated defense last year because of experience - they had a bunch of guys that were pressed into action prematurely and the defense suffered for a few years, but they got pretty good by the time they were Seniors. They lose six D linemen including their two best (Jarrett and Beasley), both 5 star linebackers (who finally both played up to their potential as Seniors), and a starting cornerback.
We had a better D than Clemson until last year. Even last year, we might have been better last year except our two top pass rushers left early while Clemson's top two stuck around for their Senior years. It will be different this year. Look for a major, major fall-off at Clemson and Fields needs to get ready to cover guys for a long time because there will be no pass rush.

Our defense will lose some experience..this is true, but I honestly don't see much of the dropoff many are predicting. We'll see, but IMO our D picks right back up where it left off.
