The heisman trophy Is Officially Meaningless

Jan 1, 2017, 1:21 AM

they give it to a player BEFORE the entire football season is even completed, first of all, which is stupid. Second of all, it is clear to everyone now in America that Deshaun Watson is the Best Player in College Football. Uhm, what did lamar jackson do today?

But besides all of that, Clemson the entire football program from the coaches, staff, the players, the fans it is an entire community that is just excellent. Dabo has gone beyond the thinkable, on and off the field to show what a good person he is and it is showing in the achievements of those around him. You can't even say names anymore because everyone on the team and in the program is responsible for this success. And they put God first. When people say, " oh God doesn't care about who wins a game", but God cares about people who do the right thing for their community and God blesses each individual. and When you have a lot of blessed players and coaches and staff, who work and earn to better themselves by being an example of a Godly person, then it becomes a blessed team and this is what the outsiders do not realize. It creates a positive atmosphere that you want to be apart of no matter what you believe in.

Who Said God Doesn't Care About Children With Cancer?

Jan 1, 2017, 2:34 AM [ in reply to Message removed by Author ]

So a 4 year old dying of leukemia is because of man's free will? You lose there.

Unfortunately, we do not know God's purpose for us and the work that we are here to do. Once our purpose is completed we die. We maybe an infant or 100+ years old. However, some people never recognize that we are here to serve God and therefore they will perish.

There is a domino effect that happens when you make choices

Jan 2, 2017, 7:30 AM [ in reply to Re: Who Said God Doesn't Care About Children With Cancer? ]

your children are apart of you, no one is innocent, this is why it is important that you think about the choices you make that will have an effect on FUTURE people and this is the lesson that a child with cancer teaches us. Also that child can be saved if people pray and call upon God.

can't let you get away with that. This earth is a brief sojourn, on the way to somewhere, and that is for ALL, even the healthy. Death is a raw deal for everyone, if you only put your hope here. Suppose you're quite wrong, and that's pretty risky considering the overwhelming evidence. Then you have no chance of joining up with your lost loved ones, those who preceded you due to disease, etc. That will be very sad for you, and for them. There is the real tragedy, not people dying. Do you want to put all your chips on that?

Dude may he have mercy on you. Nobody said God makes everything perfect. If you want perfect and a safe place then become a liberal. You can believe what you want but I will take God on my side any day. Good luck finding your way whatever it may be.

The Heisman Trophy is given to...

Jan 1, 2017, 1:51 AM

the outstanding college football player whose performance best exhibits the pursuit of excellence with integrity.

And that's why Lamar Jackson won it as it should.

Oh, wait... something is not right. It's either the first sentence or the second.

Re: The heisman trophy Is Officially Meaningless

Jan 1, 2017, 2:12 AM

Yep, should be given the best player on the best Team = Deshaun Watson. Don't get me wrong L. Jackson played like a Heisman- for 5 weeks. Then his production starting plummeting down. If your looking for the best QB to give an award to - give it the one who helped carry his team into post season and CFP play= eh..em.. 2 years in a row. Voting should be moved to at least the 10th week for earliest voting-JMO. 10 wins seasons lead you to star players, then vote. Not to mention 13-14 win seasons. ;)

My Take

Take into account the whole season not just the parts that you played well in. Jackson looked like trash BEFORE the heisman race was done. DW4 showed up all year. The award should have been his.

Rain falls on the just and the unjust alike. Judgement is the Lord's and his alone. It's the downfall of Christianity and brings about the Revelation... be advised.
