At least a 50/50 chance he is drafted in the MLB 1st round and chooses baseball (can’t really blame if he goes that route)

If he comes to Clemson: a gifted athlete with QB skills but not polished. Much higher ceiling than a Hunter Helms but would likely need a couple of years in the program to realize his potential

He was committed to Georgia to play baseball and chose to decommit from there to come play football at Clemson. That move would make you think his preferred sport, at this moment, is football and he may want to see this through. At least for a couple seasons.
His tape looks REALLY good. Big arm and beautiful touch in his deep ball. He seems very calm and confident in the pocket and can move when he needs to. He has a swagger about him in his interviews as well. I like that confidence!

Not sure I follow your logic. He committed to CU to play both. I saw a recent article stating his fastball had increased a couple MPH and he is now considered a first rounder. Bubba stated he wanted to enjoy spring ball and would make the tough decision this summer.

Committing to CU for both sports was also a smart move in terms of leverage when negotiating with a MLB team. He has options to throw at them. IF he is chosen in the 1rd and offered a $3MM+ signing bonus I don’t like our chances.

I do like his swagger and upside as he does throw a nice ball. I don’t think he has been the same level of development as DJ or DW4 or TL16 in terms of reading defenses or the mental part of the QB game. This is why I think he would need 1-2 years of development
