Tony Elliott is a great guy, has been a great ambassador for Clemson, and a great family man but definitely needs to go. Also, Dabo does NOT need to hire from within to fill it.
My first call would be to Joe Moorhead from Oregon. He's a top notch recruiter and QB coach, runs a similar scheme to what we already run, has done incredible things at Oregon and makes barely half of what Tony Elliott currently does. Give him $1.5M and the remaining $500k we pay Tony to Brent Venables for carrying the program and giving up less points this season than the offense has....

So glad out two time winning OC is still with us and that Dabo and the administration really do know more about football than we do. Ask Tennessee and Auburn and others about firing succesful staffs and how that works out.

Dabo knows what's up and the Scott's were more of that than Tony. Dabo has always made necessary moves when it is time. It is getting close to time. Once the Oline takes form Tony will be expected to shape up or go hunting. He is not a young player that Dabo has under his wing. He is a grown man, making more than head coaches and a few weeks from being isolated as becoming a weak link. In a machine that does not keep weak links. With the ACC's TV deal we do not have room to become complacent. Such will be our downfall and Dabo did not build this to drop-off like FSU.
It is on Tony because all the tools for another National Championship Team will be here next season, if they are not refined by this season's end. I think Dabo wants another and will be ticked if we do not see another one by next season.
