If it were just a single game, then yea he probably should have. That said, he knows that in order to win the tournament he has to win 5 games in 5 days so his substitution patterns were different last night. The team kept NCST at arms length (6 pt lead at least) pretty much the entire 2nd half and limited Tyson and some of the other guys' minutes to hopefully have them fresher for Va Tech tonight.

I will give NC State credit they look disorganized at times but they do have a few athletes on that team.

I agree. The art of dribbling a basketball has been lost and would be so easy to fix if they wanted to.

NC State's best front court player shot blocker extraordinaire Manny Bates missed the entire season with an injury. Also had a good transfer forward from Providence who missed the whole season with an injury. They should probably have been a little better; but very young in key spots too. Don't think Keatts is that good of a coach, but might have been around 500 in the league at best.
Hate to tell you, but the Tigers need at least two wins to feel real good about a NIT bid. 85 in the NET won't cut it. There are going to only be 20-24 at large bids, because there are so many teams who get automatic bids from 1st place teams that didn't win their conference tourney. Northern Iowa, and Clevland State are two teams that come to mind. Need to get to 19 or 20 wins to really feel good about it.

Yeah they do given how decimated their frontcourt is. Think the broadcast said state doesn't have anyone over 6'8"... Which worked perfect for us. We could rest a lot of bodies and knew we had the low post anytime we wanted it.

The broadcast said they had 3 people over 6'8". I found this odd that they were making excuses considering we only have 3 over 6'8". Gibson played at 6'10" and Donawa played at 6'11". Also, sea don and pellams are 6'7".
Pretty stupid comment by the broadcast team.

Nancy State is awful. There two best front court players Bates and the transfer from Providence missed the whole season with injuries. That would been like Clemson without Hall and Tyson the whole season. Probably would have had a similar record. Give it a rest...

NC State is not a good team, duh. The only factually incorrect claims were made by clemgal. I'm aware of their injuries. This has nothing do do with the fact that she said that the broadcasters said they had nobody over 6'10". Why are you taking issue with that?

I'll take the W for our team any way, any day. We need this next one to hopefully get in the NIT. I'd like to see us get a few wins there too so we can feel better about BrownL's return.

Smed what do you feel is the upside to the NIT? Do we make more money? Or do we end up in the red on the deal. Not being contrary but can’t see the good that comes from being in the NIT.

I look at it kind of like a bowl game in football. I'd much rather see Clemson in the playoffs, but if that's not possible I'd prefer to watch them play in a bowl game than not be playing at all. Same with the Tournament/NIT in basketball. There are usually some good, competitive games in the NIT to watch.
That being said, it appears Clemson might need to win even more than one more to make the NIT unfortunately, based on some projections I've looked at.

Does your manager at McDonald's talk like you? Glad you don't have children to be an example. The Good Lord knows what he is doing.

were poised and ready for NCSU to win that game. The way they talked about how athletic, talented, and tenacious they were i figured we would have lost by 20+
