He probably makes good living as sportscaster however, but not nearly as much as assistant coaches.

What are you talking about? McClain was an outstanding college OL…especially in his later years. He was extremely serviceable..

He was a 1st Tean All-ACC OG. If memory serves me right, his Jr. year he was 2nd TM. The guy never played on the OL even in HS. I know this for fact because the day of the Spring Game April 10 2010 me and my family sat outside Dabo's office in the West Zone with him and his Dad. I asked him why one of the recruiting services had him ranked as an OT, while another one had him as the #6 TE in the country. He said he'd never played OL and the recruiting service guy (maybe Jamie Newberg) was an not fond of him at TE and wouldn't rank him as a TE.

All he did was gain 50 lbs over one year and turn into a road grader for Wayne Gallman and Deshaun Watson. He was a leader on the field and off (All-ACC academic tm). The guy has a masters in Sports Leadership and Administration. He'd probably make a heck of a OL coach.

This article might as well be a copy and paste from the last several years. Nothing changes. The OLine will be a weak point with the occasional game for Dabo to point to and say “”see, told you them boys know how to play football!”, but then they will be over whelmed by better competition. The difference is Deshaun and Trevor aren’t walking through that tunnel this year.
