Does anyone actually like Munson?
No one gets me less hyped for sports.
He’s a nice guy but not a great announcer.

Munson has called 2 natties and has inserted himself as the new voice of Clemson football. He has greatly improved and is settling into the role imo.
Yannity just never quite had the “it” factor. Very professional and great guy though.

Yannity is the man. Time to bring him back into the football fold where he belongs. Pete definitely has the “it” factor in my opinion, and Munson clearly does not.

I have grown to like Munson. Will normally go to radio or app while watching on tv to avoid the tv announcers!

Yannity is not leaving his job at WSPA. What's wrong with doing a national search next time like most big boy schools do? That should be the AD's job and not the football coach. Plenty of great announcers out there.

I like Munson. He goes a good job calling games. And he makes it about the games, not himself. I don't get folks who don't like him.

are card-carrying members of the Lunatic Fringe. The Fringe never disappoints when it comes to being totally negative about Clemson athletics.

Not sure why you overplayed your hand. Munson started out terrible and has peaked out at mid. LF started out terrible and stayed there

I disagree.
Listening to Munson call games on the radio is like having a blind person describe the game.
"There's Orange in the End Zone" is iconic.

The real question is who still listens to celestial radio in 2024?

Pete Yannity got himself replaced when he was indiscreet with team info at some gathering. Honestly, I hated his "there's orange in the end zone" phrase for TDs. I emailed him about it back in the day and he was very accepting of my feedback.
I didn't like Don in the least when he took the job. Then I heard him humbly state that he had so much to learn and was taking measures to improve his craft. I think he has to a degree, and I now enjoy listen to the broadcast team, especially with Tim Bourret's contributions. Here's the deal: Don is for Clemson and is our football voice. Like Jim Phillips was, he was all about Clemson.
One more Yanity note. When ESPN uses him for baseball games, he is an excellent baseball play by play announcer.

Not a fan of Pete as an adlib on air personality. He’s great at presenting prewritten material. Munson isn’t terrible. The problem is he followed a legend. Jim Phillips was as good as it gets.

"Clemson lines up on the left "hash" mark........."
The cringe is strong with Munson. He's awful.

You’re a Philistine.
Pete was good. Don is good. Having expectations is one thing. Being unrealistic is another. Don knows sport and is rather quick on the uptake. He’s also had several iconic lines over the years.
Methinks the lady doth protest too much.
