Brief thoughts from the "game" last night

Nobody was beating Georgia last night.

Anybody could've beat TCU last night.

I don't think TCU is nearly as bad as they played. I don't know if the stage was too big or what, but they suffered an epic, record-breaking choke.

support your favorite team long enough, sooner or later you'll end-up on the receiving end of a beatdown. It just happened to TCU at one of the worst times possible.

Georgia was bigger and more physical. I think the TCU team knew they were losing that game by the end of the first quarter.

Yes, this was clearly UGA's year, but TCU really laid an egg. If it hadn't been for one busted coverage, they'd have skunked TCU.

the team.

Georgia put on a clinic last night that I enjoyed watching. It was power football whether in the air or on the ground, never a hesitancy from either their offense or defense with a "go for the jugular" attitude pervasive among the staff and team.

A number of folks don't care for Bennett, but the fellow had steel nerves, a brilliant grasp of the game, as it progressed, and ability to execute quickly, all aided and abetted with rapid play-calling by the staff and no on-field loitering.

Regardless of anti-Georgia opinions, staffs and teams would be well-served to watch, rewatch and watch again every moment of play. I saw criticism of Kirby, claiming a running-up-the-score mentality. Yet, when your opponent has totally caved, as did TCU, it's darn near impossible not to add on points...something we older Clemson folks can easily recall in the Ford days with those 80-something points we laid on Wake.

Hopefully, we'll see a revitalized energy and effort next season with that same "Katie bar the door" mentality that the Dawgs displayed. I want to see our men mean-as-he1l, fangs gnashing with a go for the throat attitude...with them and us waiting until our games are over to offer prayers for the poor b*stards souls!

GO TIGERRRRS! RIP EM UP...TEAR EM UP...TIGERS GIVE EM HELLLLLLLLL!

Georgia looks like the kind of team we want to be - strong defense, good running game, good passing game (short and long), good TE's and WR's, a good QB, and good special teams. Might want to start with a good OC. Georgia looked alot like we did against Alabama in 2019. We can get back there if we make some changes. GO TIGERS!!!

Reminded me of the 51-17 or whatever that Jamies and FSU put on us***

TCU got hit in the mouth, and they folded. Plus the matchup heavily favored UGA.

Plyler this morning was talking about the mismatch between the Dawgs and TCU and he's right. GA runs a lot of 12 personnel with very capable lineman and TEs. Ain't no way you're going to get consistent pressure with only 3 linemen against 5-7 blockers.

TCU had 3 or 4 nail biter victories against mediocre teams this past season.

They had some good victories (beating K State during regular season) while losing Big 12 championship to K.State.

TCU’s victory over MI should never have happened, but MI was also a fraud … and I despise Khaki Pants, so TCU’s win in that game was great.

At its core, however, TCU was this year’s version of Cincinnati; a Cinderella story where the glass slipper reverted back to a cow patty.
